2004 LJ Install using a floor jack and jack stands

The kit arrived sooner than expected and was complete.

The installation instructions were straightforward and well written. Easy to follow. I did however have a couple of problems during the last couple of steps.

I could not get the transfer case spacers installed with the Jeep on the jack stands. After lowering it to the floor and loosening the frame cross member (I believe IT'S not present on the TJ), the skid plate lowered and the install was a breeze. The other problem I had was with the transfer case shifter relocation bracket. The instructions say to remove the factory bracket and install the relocation bracket to it. Then reinstall. I couldn't get it to fit with the shifter pivot installed in its new position. I installed the two bracket things separately with a little fiddling around.

The whole install took WAY more than the 6 hours I read somewhere. But it's not difficult. Getting up and down off the garage floor took a lot of time all by itself. I was lucky that this rig spent its entire life in southern Kalifornia.

Jeep looks great. I'm running 16' wheels with 33" tires. I think it's going to be just right. Nice product. Recommended!
