JKS had a successful year at King of the Hammers! Sponsored JKS driver, Shaun Rajski, landed a 7th place finish in the Every Man Challenge. This is another race within the race. This is where the stock class (4600) Modified Class (4500) and Legends Class (4800 ) race a day before the 4400 class. JKS has product sponsorships on two 4600 entries. DKA motorsports in their Comanche is running JKS front springs and ACOS Pros. The Kracker Fab Racing team runs JKS springs and ACOS pros on all 4- corners. Neither team had a great KOH, both suffering some mechanical brake-downs causing them not to finish. Kracker Fab had about 1.5 hour lead when a shock came apart (not a FOX) and destroyed the entire front suspension. DKA motorsports appears to have had a transmission failure, but brought the crowd to their feet in cheers when Donnie backed the truck almost 2 miles in the desert to complete a lap.
The 4800 class was another story. Shaun Rajski had an amazing KOH this year, following up a great effort last year (top 20 finish last year). Shaun qualified 7th, completing the last 1/3rd of the qualifying course on a flat tire (this becomes a theme for his race). That qualifying spot got him some attention and being that he was off the line in only the 3rd group, he was going to be running with the leaders all day. Tons of camera time on the live feed, 5 flat tires, and 1 roll over and the JKS team finished 7th in class and 8th overall. Great finish, and our logo was all over the place all day! (Including the Ultra4 Facebook page).
