Product FAQ's

Q: How do I lubricate Quicker Disconnects?

Lubricate Quicker Disconnects immediately after installation using common wheel bearing grease or equivalent.

It is important to lubricate Quicker Disconnects frequently for the first three (3) months after installation to evacuate contaminants that may build up during break-in period.

After break-in period, Quicker Disconnects should be lubricated regularly as part of vehicle maintenance schedule.

Regular cleaning with pressurized water is recommended to maximize ease of operation and reliability. Always lubricate afterwards to evacuate any moisture.

Q: How do I inject grease into the flush mount zerks on Quick Disconnects?

Flush mount grease zerks require special grease gun attachment available at any auto parts store – use Lincoln® PN 83278 or equivalent.

Q: Why are my Quick Disconnects difficult to operate?

90% of all Quick Disconnect problems are related to the leaf spring U-bolt plates, which must be parallel with the axle housing to ensure proper alignment of male and female ends. U-bolt plate alignment (fore/aft & side/side) and design are critical to Quick Disconnect operation.

The remaining 10% of problems are related to inconsistent swaybar manufacturing tolerances (swaybar twisted from factory), unevenly distributed vehicle weight (including accessories & passengers) and operation on unlevel surfaces.

If stainless steel lynch pins are still difficult to remove after break in period, and you’ve already confirmed that the male and female ends are properly aligned, drill through the lynch pin hole (with Quick Disconnect connected) using a 1/4” drill bit.

OE shock bracket should not make contact with Quick Disconnect body – check near bend. Grind or hammer shock bracket to prevent interference if necessary. PN 5007, 9400 only – Wrangler YJ models.

Q: Why is my factory swaybar so difficult to rotate?

If swaybar does not rotate freely, remove from vehicle, clean and apply rubber lubricant to chassis-mounted bushings, and reinstall.

Q: How do I maintain my Adjustable Trackbar?

Re-torque fasteners after driving 150 miles. Continue to check torque specifications as part of regular vehicle maintenance routine.

If your Adjustable Trackbar features a rubber bushing at either end, do NOT lubricate with grease as this will cause rubber to deteriorate. Rubber bushings on JKS products do not require any lubrication.

If your Adjustable Trackbar features a urethane or spherical urethane bushing at either end, it should be lubricated as part of regular vehicle maintenance schedule. Add common wheel bearing grease or equivalent via the greaseable mounting bolt if so equipped. If not equipped with greaseable bolt, remove trackbar from vehicle and disassemble bushing to lubricate.

Regular cleaning with pressurized water is recommended to maximize ease of operation and reliability. Always lubricate afterwards to evacuate any moisture.

Q: How do I maintain my Adjustable Control Arms?

Control Arms should be greased regularly as part of vehicle maintenance schedule. Lubricate using moisture resistant marine style grease and a hand-pump grease gun. DO NOT use a pneumatic grease gun. Add grease slowly until resistance is felt. The internal spring-loaded seal can be damaged by forcing too much grease into Control Arms.

Do not lubricate Control Arm bushings.

Q: How do I maintain my Adjustable Coil Spacers?

Regular cleaning with pressurized water is recommended to maximize ease of operation and reliability.

If your Adjustable Coil Spacers have a Bump Stop/Shock Adapter, there are two 1/8 in. drainage holes on the bottom that are designed to evacuate any water that may have collected inside the upper spring retainer. Periodically check for blockages and clear the drainage holes if necessary.

Q: How do I maintain my B1 Body Lift?

Check all fasteners after first off-road trip and tighten if necessary. Inspect fasteners and components as part of routine vehicle maintenance schedule.
